Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before the booking date. Cancellations made within 48 hours will not be refunded.​Moel Famau Donkeys reserves the right to cancel and reschedule experiences up to 4 hours before the start time due to adverse weather conditions.

Our scheduled experiences are available for all visitors to book and participate. Private bookings and bespoke experiences are also available, along with alternative dates in the calendar. We can tailor any package to your requirements. Please get in touch with us if you would like to make a private booking or discuss options.

  • Can other family and friends come along to watch?
    We take pride in delivering our experiences and have to adhere to our maximum capacity numbers and ratios. Unfortunately additional guests are not able to join the experience within the stable, field, or along the walk.
  • Can I add extra people to join in?
    Additional visitors can be booked to join a walk as a spectator for £10 per person, enabling everyone to enjoy the experience together. This is an ideal option if you find the booking ratios don’t quite fit your requirements, and you’re looking for that extra space. Please let us know if you would like to add this option to your booking. Please note that a spectator can join a walk but will not have access to walk a donkey.
  • Do you have toilets?
    Yes we have an easy access ‘portaloo’ that is accessible for all experience visitors.
  • How far does the walk go?
    The short walk goes around our front field and up to the Hilltop House, roughly half a mile along our hillside. The long walk goes further along the track for approximately a mile, all on our privately owned land. From the top you will see breath taking views of the Clwydian Range and Loggerheads. We recommend a medium fitness level for the long walk.
  • Do you take group bookings and private parties?
    Yes we are able to offer a variety of packages for private group bookings. This can range from a team building day and staff away day to birthday celebrations for all ages. Please contact us for more information.
  • Arrival
    Please aim to arrive no more than 5 minutes before your activity begins. Upon arrival, please wait at the Welcome Hut opposite the car parking bays, where a staff guide will meet you. Late arrivals will not be refunded or rescheduled.
  • Clothing & Footwear
    Please wear a full shoe, appropriate for weather conditions such as a strong trainer or walking boots. For visitors taking part in a walk, please check the weather beforehand and dress appropriately for the outdoors. In wet weather, wellies and a waterproof coat is recommended. Please be advised that sandals/flip flop style shoes are not suitable for activities.
  • Ratios
    Please acknowledge the age requirements for each experience option prior to booking.
  • Cancellations
    Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours prior to the booking. Any cancellations within 48 hours will not be refunded.
  • Accessibility
    Our Meet and Greet experience is wheelchair accessible. Unfortunately the walks are not wheelchair accessible. There is a fully accessible toilet facility onsite.
  • Weather
    Moel Famau Donkeys reserve the right to cancel and re-schedule the experience up to 4 hours prior to agreed time due to adverse weather.
